I have that very same problem with genres.

That intro made me feel like I was in a vacuum. Nice effects, but I don't really think it fits with the rest of the song.

:31 why use only one instrument for your main melody? It sounds much better at :42 when other instruments are added.

I really like how the instruments work with each other here. You did a good job on that.

Um... I really don't have much to say besides that. It was a nice, calming song though.

Thanks for the review! Glad to know I'm not the only guy who has the genre problem. :P

Alright, I'm going to try to work my way through this flood of music.

I like the song, but it takes forever to get going, almost 1 minute until any real main melody kicks in.

The instrument at 1:22 completely overpowers the other instrument and is slightly grating. You should have turned down the volume a bit. The instrument is used much better at 1:36.

I love that you used basslines (or at least it sounded like it). It wasn't noticeable, which isn't necessarily bad, and it made the song feel much more "whole" in a way.

2:41 Why. Just why. No please. Don't do this again with that instrument. It's just so loud and grating that- BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Thanks for the review thanks for the review thanks for the review thanks for the review thanks for the review blibbity blah blah blah BLAH

I was going to write a review here, but I realized that XayberOptix said everything I wanted to say. I agree with everything he says except one... His star rating was approximately 1.5 stars too low ;)

Evilgrapez responds:

Aw, thanks! :D

The chords are strong with this one... I like it :D

The vocal from :22 to :30 is out of tune with the rest of the song and is very out of place.

The melody is very nice, I like how you have multiple instruments compounding to make something awesome. The drumbeat is audible, which is good. The only thing you're missing is again, the bassline. It's much more forgivable this time, but not having a bassline makes it fall short of music legend. A choir or two in the drop could have made all the difference.

The vocals REALLY don't fit with this song at all. They all seem to be somewhat off-key.

I'm sorry, but the out-of-place, off-key vocals are so distracting from the awesome main melody that I'm goint to have to drop my score by 1 star. Getting rid of the vocals and adding a bassline at the drop would have made this song perfect.

Evilgrapez responds:

Okay, well, thanks for your feedback! "The chords are strong with this one." Ha, that's a good line. I just watched Star Wars recently, in fact. :P

Anyways, yeah, I could have done something to put the vocals on-key. Never really crossed my head though. TheMasterOfTheGamez did think it was good as it was when I sent it to him though, so I made that the final copy. I guess it looks like my main weakness with songs is baselines. You'll just have to manage with the new songs I'm gonna upload.

Thanks for your review!

...I think something's wrong with your game, Evilgrapez.

Joking aside, this song is very good. It seems like there is a bassline through the entire track, which made it more interesting and less one-dimensional. Good job!

Also, the part at 1:06 really reminded me of EnV's Bonus Level. Props for that.

Evilgrapez responds:

Just listened to EnV's Bonus Level. Oh my gosh, the similarities. I must have added it subconsciously. :O

Thanks for the review!

This song is suffering from the same problem I've pointed out in some of your other songs: there's a lack of a bassline. Having a baseline can make a track sound much more interesting. You have a bassline in the beginning and end of this song, I don't know why you don't put basslines throughout the whole song.

Evilgrapez responds:

Dude! Stop writing reviews so fast! My fingers can't type fast enough to catch up! xP

Yeah, you're right about the baseline. Again though, this was made while I was messing around. I didn't really expect it to turn out good.

I'm surprised that you were able to make this in five minutes. Surprisingly, this song has a lot of things that your other songs don't. You can always tell that multiple instruments are playing, and the other instruments almost always harmonize with the main melody. The drumbeat is nice and precise. The first half of the song is really nice, but the second half is really cluttered up, but with some more time I'm sure you could fix it.

You need to remix this, except in the remix give yourself some more time :P

-QJrocks

Evilgrapez responds:

I'll remix it someday. For now, please enjoy the brand new upcoming "You Can't Stop The Electric Guitar V2." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Haha, just kidding. I'm never gonna remix that song. Ever. That song is horrible.

But anyways, I'm kinda surprised I made it in five minutes, too. Thanks for reviewing. :P

The melody here is nice, but most of the time it sounds like there is only one instrument playing. You might wanna fix that in later songs.

Evilgrapez responds:

I have a feeling that you're going to hate my newer songs then...

JK. But seriously though, thanks for the review. I'll be sure to fix that in my later songs.

Hopefully.

Wait, I have to listen to the entire song to give my 5-star? I was about ready to give it at the 10-second mark.

The section from :22 to :52 had a noticable lack of a bassline. There was one before that, why drop it?

I don't know why, but the song feels repetitive. Not sure if that's actually the case, but it felt that way.

The sudden transition at 1:43 scared me. It's just a simple tune- BOOM SUDDEN PIANO

I did like the piano part, though. It's transition back into the melody was very nice.

The part from 2:35 to ~3:00 was better than the earlier one, because the piano was acting like a bassline. I still think that there could have been more instruments playing there, though.

The part from ~3:00 to 3:13 I really liked as the instrument there was more calming and fit much better with the piano than the previous one. The instrument here should have been used more throughout the song.

Again, nice piano transition. The instruments used in these parts really complement each other.

3:46 O_O I could use the remaining 11k characters to say how awesome this is, but it still wouldn't have been enough.

The ending was pretty cool, too.

Evilgrapez responds:

Thanks. I had my brother listen to it, and he suggested to have people listen to the whole song before judging. I didn't know why, but I went with it. :P For some reason, I started laughing when you said "BOOM SUDDEN PIANO". Gotta admit, a couple times when I listen to this song it scares me too. XDDD

Thanks for your review. I can't answer these questions because this song was made a while ago and to be honest I don't even remember the answers for most of these, but at least you liked it. :P

I've only seen a walkthrough of SPM, but I was still able to recognize this theme almost instantly. Great work!
